Gummy Grins Galore!/ Gainesville Baby Photographer

Madelyn is 3 months now and this little one was full of smiles for her photo session. She was such a happy baby for our session (until the end of course, when all she wanted was her Mama!) One of the MANY things I LOVE about JLS Photography’s Baby’s First Year package is getting to see all these baby bellies turn into newborns and then seeing them again as they reach all of their first year milestones.

A gator fan already! Look how excited she is for football season!

And of course we had to do some family pictures as well- and Madelyn was super happy having her Daddy hold her!

He’s Finally Here!/ Gainesville Newborn Photographer

This little man made his mommy and daddy wait a few extra days past his due date, and then stayed for nine long days in the hospital before finally coming home this week. He was certainly worth the wait though and is such an adorable baby. Both of his parents are very easy going and relaxed and it seems their personality has already worn off on him- Baby Josh was one of the best behaved newborns I have ever worked with. He slept like a charm and when he was awake he just liked looking around at all of his family members. Josh’s parents did JLS Photography Belly- Baby package so it was great to see them again after their maternity session. I also got to meet Ting’s parents all the way from China and Josh’s mom from New York who came down to make his homecoming extra special.

Something A Little Different/ Gainesville Maternity Photographer

When this beautiful Mommy to be contacted me for her maternity photos, she knew that she wanted something completely different then I had ever offered before. She wanted to do an all nude session with a studio setup and lighting and wanted to know if I was up for the challenge. Of course I was! This was such a great session for me to be able to stretch creatively into an entirely new realm (not to mention dust off my seamless paper and backdrops that only come out for newborn sessions!) Ms. C was so wonderful to work with, as was her husband and I can’t wait to do their newborn session as part of my Belly to Baby package. Ms. C allowed me to share some of the faceless images here on the blog.

Brand new and oh so adorable! Baby A is the daughter of this beautiful Mommy who also had her maternity session with me. She has a big brother and a big sister, so this is one busy family! Here she is at just over two weeks old.

It’s baby month here at JLS Photography- all of the beautiful bellies that I have been photographing this Spring are now having their babies! Here is Miss J, who is just thirteen days old in these photos. She was a dream to photograph, and has the cutest baby smile I have ever seen! Simply Breathtaking/ Cape Coral Maternity Photographer

The thing I like most about portrait photography is being invited to share in the important moments of peoples lives. It is even more special to me when an old friend contacts me to share in one of those time. Jessica is a friend of mine from high school who had seen my work on Facebook and had mentioned me doing a maternity session for her. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as we had a trip planned for the Fourth of July and Jessica was nearing 33 weeks. We met at the beautiful Jaycee Park in Cape Coral for her sunset session. It also happened to be a near- full moon and since Jessica was up for me trying out some new ideas, we had lots of fun incorporating the moonlight and off camera flash into our session. Jessica is expecting a little girl named Siena in mid August.

One Hot Mama/ Gainesville Maternity Photographer

This was literally the hottest session that I have ever had- even at 7 at night it was still 95 degrees with no breeze whatsoever in Gainesville. I met with Christi and her darling husband and daughter at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens to celebrate baby #2’s bump. Christi purchased my Belly to Baby package, so you will soon see their newest addition – a little girl named Riley- on this blog. We braved the heat and the bugs to capture this sunset session. Thanks to this beautiful family for being such great sports even though I know they had to be miserable, especially Christi who is about 3 weeks away from giving birth. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Aren’t these blocks so cute? They are larger than the ones that I normally use and I think they photographed great!

Another Beautiful Mommy-To-Be/ Gainesville, FL Maternity Photographer

I am so in love with all of the beautiful mommies that have contacted me recently for sessions. I love maternity sessions because there is nothing more enjoyable then capturing that bond between a mother and her child- and it certainly brings me back to when I was pregnant and can so vividly remember all of Madalyn’s little flutters and kicks. (Well, not always LITTLE kicks!) Richelle and her husband Eric met me last week at the beautiful Kanapaha Botanical Gardens for their maternity session. She is 36 weeks and expecting her first child- a little girl. They have chosen my Baby’s First Year Plan so you will get to meet their little girl and follow her through her first year of life. Congrats Richelle and Eric and I can’t wait to meet little Josephine!

Baby On Board/ Gainesville, FL Maternity Photographer

Ting and Eric are expecting their first child- a boy named Joshua Charles who will be arriving mid- July. They are doing my Belly to Baby package, so you will get to meet their little one as well when he makes his debut on this blog. We met this past weekend at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesvile for our session. Ting is from China originally and she met her husband while in the Ph.D. program for Economics at the University of Florida. She is no stranger to photo shoots- she explained to me at our session that in China it is part of their custom to have a high fashion bridal photo shoot before the wedding with dresses that the photographer provides. Her sessions took place over two twelve hour days- can you imagine? Here are a few from our much shorter session! I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek and I look forward to meeting your little one!

Alissa is expecting baby #3 at the end of July, but she says that if this pregnancy is anything like the last two little Miss Alexis will be joining their family much sooner than that!
