Love at First Sight/ Gainesville, FL Engagement Photographer

One of the things that I love more than anything about photography is being able to connect with people during the happiest times of their lives. I love to be able to tell their story through photographs, and leave them with a tangible memory of a special moment. So nothing can possibly mean more to me then to have an old friend invite me to share in one of those moment by asking me to be their wedding or portrait photographer.
Emily was my roommate in college (it wasn’t that long ago!) and even though we have both lived in Gainesville since then our paths haven’t crossed that much. But thanks to the magic of Facebook we have been able to keep in touch, and when she began planning her August 2009 wedding she asked me to be there with her.
Emily met John in January, and her best friend’s wedding. Her best friend happened to be marrying John’s brother and the two met during the celebration in Washington State. She lives in Gainesville and he lives in Virginia, but they knew immediately it was meant to be. Fast forward a few months and one amazingly beautiful diamond ring later, and they are immersed in wedding and moving plans. After their ceremony this summer Emily will be moving to Virgina to start a new chapter of her life.
While they have been planning the wedding details for the last month or so, Emily hadn’t officially been proposed to yet. John surprised her the morning of our engagement shoot when he came into town with this ring… and it is officially official!

Dustin Class of 2010/ Gainesville, FL Senior Photographer

Yet another one of my wonderful Senior Reps. Dustin is from Interlachen High School . He plays football and also is involved in weightlifting, for which he won a medal the day before our photo shoot.

Jared Class of 2010/ Gainesville, Fl Senior Photographer

Jared is yet another one of my Senior Reps from Buchholz High School. Jared is excited about his upcoming senior year, and thinks that he would like to go to either Jacksonville University or the University of Central Florida to major in Chemisty. He joined myself and David of David Anthony Photography on Sunday for his senior portraits.

Bonnie is another one of my senior reps for the Class of 2010 and she is from Buchholz High School. We met in Alachua Sunday afternoon for her photo session with myself and my assistant for the day- David Bello of David Anthony Photography. Bonnie is really excited about her upcoming senior year, and she is hoping to attend Flagler College.

Bonne brought along her dog Benji for some pictures as well.

So here is the thing I love MOST about photography- it gives me an outlet to be creative, and to try new things. And here is the thing I love most about high school seniors- they LOVE creative, and they want their senior portraits to reflect their personality. It is a match made in heaven!

Taylor is one of my senior reps from Santa Fe High School and we met last week for her portrait session. Not only is she absolutely beautiful, she is amazingly sweet and so much fun to be around! Taylor has studied ballet for the last ten years, and is hoping to be able to dance in college, so I knew right away that was something we had to incorporate into her photos.

Tiffany and Matt are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child who is due in the middle of May. They recently contacted me about my Watch Me Grow package- so you will be seeing lots of this beautiful family here on the blog. Matt’s parent’s house made the perfect backdrop for our late afternoon session, and this easy going couple wanted some really creative maternity photos so we were a perfect match!
